Frozen Shoulder Exercises
Frozen shoulder and specific exercises to get the injured shoulder rehabilitated is explained in the video here by Robert North, Neuromuscular Therapist and NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
I damaged my shoulder doing chest flys and with Rob’s assistance, I am finally able to do upper body work again. You can contract Rob at his website: http://www.upwardspiraltraining.com
Here are the exercises Rob recommends for recovery:
I love doing cobra pose after a hard ab workout.
Stability ball walk-outs work the shoulder and really tighten those abdominals, double the benefit!
This exercise, shown below, is where you alternate arm and leg extensions, then curl your elbow to the opposite knee to work the abdominals. It’s also called bird dog or horse stance
Plank and shoulder rotations are not only great for your shoulder but works the core too. See Rob’s video above on how to do this from start to finish. Hervin, personal trainer, shows how to do the advanced version on his toes instead of with knees on the floor while raising his arm as high as he can while rotating and curving his arm under to complete the exercise.
