How to get more out of your workout

You want to burn as many calories and give 100% to every workout but you can’t expect a great outcome if you are not eating properly before you exercise. I’ve had people turn pale, not being able to continue or keep up during my boot camps and running classes all because of improper food intake. One woman said she wasn’t sure if she should eat before we did our run. One guy just had an omelet, and another woman said she had carrots and water. I would crash too if that’s all I ate.

We need carbs for cardio and any hard workout. My go-to is a fruit smoothie with protein powder. Eat a low-calorie meal or snack with carbohydrates! You need fuel to go.
