You CAN be a healthy diabetic
If you’ve been recently diagnosed as a diabetic, you may feel that your life is all downhill from here. Complications from diabetes are scary: losing limbs, going blind, bouts of depression, weight gain, coma….death…but that’s if you don’t take care of yourself.
If you frequently test your blood, watch what you’re eating and take your medicine, you probably won’t have additional medical problems due to diabetes. My endocrinologist said my average blood sugar levels are that of a non-diabetic and it’s a direct result of my healthy eating, insulin injections, daily exercise and blood testing. I am proof that you CAN be a healthy diabetic, so you can too.
