What nobody explains about carbs
It seems like every weight loss article says that, in order to lose weight, one needs to reduce carbohydrates. Carbs don’t make you fat; extra calories do. Carbs do contain a lot of calories, regardless of whether they are healthy or not. Just ½ cup of oats is 150 calories, while 17 grams of protein from a grilled chicken breast is only 92 calories. While the extra calories consumed are most likely from large portions of carbohydrates, you can still gain weight from fatty meats, dressings and/or too much almond butter.
