Can you be fat if you eat healthy?
While it’s less likely you will be overweight if you eat healthy whole foods the majority of the time, it’s still possible to be fat. Excess pounds come from excess calories. Healthy foods like avocado, rice, hemp, peanuts and coconut oil are extremely high in calories. A avocado is 320 calories. A cup of rice is 200 calories. Three tablespoons of hemp seeds are a whopping 170 calories. There are 270 calories in a 1/3 of a cup of peanuts. One tablespoon of coconut oil is 125 calories. Don’t omit these foods if you already eat them, but if you are trying to lose weight, limit the portions.
