Why low-carb diets suck

Vegan chocolates

Men and women on low-carb competition diets admit they are cranky and moody and are miserable to be around. What’s the point of looking super lean if you and everyone around you hates you?

Low-carbohydrate diets make people depressed, not because they crave them; we are supposed to eat carbs like fruit which are full of nutrients, fiber and water. Carbohydrates give us energy. When I ask my fellow gym-rats if they want to run sprints up the hill, they look at me like I’m from Mars and throw out a F-No! They’re carb-depleted and probably wouldn’t be able to do my ten sprints with me.

I have tons of energy. People have commented that I’m always smiling. I also always have unsweetened almond milk and fruit before I work out. There is a chemical reaction that delivers amino acids into muscles, and tryptophan into the brain that makes you feel happier. It’s not a coincidence, carbs DO make you feel happy. Just stay away from the ice cream, which will bum you out after you devour the entire pint.
